Police Scotland Lochgilphead: police reports for week to 5th November

Theft of Generator
Between 8pm on Wednesday 30th October and 8.30am on Thursday 31st October a Honda make generator was stolen from a farm outside Inveraray. Enquiries have traced a witness who observed persons with torches at the locus at 4am on 31st October, in possession of what is described as a pale coloured van.
Police are carrying out additional patrols and undertaking road checks in the Inveraray area, however are asking for any witnesses to the incident, or to seeing the vehicle in the area to contact their local police office on telephone number 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800555111

Disturbance
At 1.45am on Sunday 3rd November on Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead, police observed a male shouting and swearing. The 28 year old male was spoken to and thereafter arrested for a breach of the peace.

Drugs
At 2.45pm on Saturday 2nd November police had cause to stop a Mitsubishi car being driven by a 30 year old male. The male and his car were then searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act with cannabis and prescription tablets being found. The male was charged with two counts of possession of controlled drugs.

Licensed Premises
At 10.45pm on Friday 1st November police attended a licensed premise in Inveraray in relation to an assault. Enquiries led to a 26 year old female being arrested for assault and breach of the peace.
